Effective April 1, 2007, the District of Columbia changed its Child Support Guidelines. The formula set by these guidelines determines the amount of child support for children whose parents are unmarried, separated, or divorced. The guideline calculator is an important tool to reduce child poverty, improve the self-sufficiency of single parent households, and provide for the economic well-being of children in the District.
The Child Support Services Division (CSSD) website now provides an online Child Support Guideline Calculator which estimates child support payments based upon your current financial situation. Select the link below to use this important and dynamic tool. ++
